About Us

A lively gathering at Lowville Elks Lodge with guests enjoying the atmosphere.
A lively gathering at Lowville Elks Lodge with guests enjoying the atmosphere.

Friday nights at the Lowville Elks Lodge have a reputation that travels fast through Lewis County. The prime rib alone, hand-cut and served medium-done with crisp fries, green beans, fresh rolls, and a full salad bar, keeps regulars coming back week after week. That 4.7-star rating across 72 reviews isn't an accident. It's earned one plate at a time.

But the Lodge is more than a dining room. When the Nelson Brothers take the stage, the hall fills with families, friends, and first-timers who stay far longer than they planned. There's a reason someone brought 14 family members here to lift their spirits after a house fire. This is the kind of place that actually shows up.

Located at 5600 Shady Ave in Lowville, the Lodge has long served as one of the most versatile venues in the North Country, hosting everything from private celebrations to community fundraisers. The staff is consistently called out in reviews for being genuinely pleasant, not just polite. That warmth is built into everything here.

What We Offer

The Lodge offers a Friday night dinner that rivals any sit-down restaurant in the region. Prime rib, chef-prepared sides, homemade soup, and a salad bar make it a weekly tradition for locals who know where the good food is. Seating is relaxed, the portions are real, and the rolls come out warm.

Beyond dinner, the event hall accommodates private parties, milestone celebrations, fundraisers, and community gatherings of all sizes. Recent events have featured live musical acts including the Nelson Brothers, drawing crowds that fill the room with energy. Whether you're planning an intimate family dinner or a large-scale community event, the Lodge has the space, the staff, and the setup to make it work.

Membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks also opens the door to a national network of charitable programs, local scholarships, and veterans support initiatives that have been a cornerstone of Elks Lodges across America for over 150 years.

"We have 4 birthdays in our family the week before Christmas, every year, about 16 of us descend on the Elks on that Thursday for pizza and wings to celebrate. They have always been able to accomodate us and taken great care of us. Great people work there, and it's an amazing organization besides. Thanks!"

"Elk members from lodge 1605 and there family and friends have been enjoying a country club 5 star Friday night dinner for years. The elks club is a fratural origination that is very active and has a large local membership. The lodge set up to accomidate weddings as well as large gatherings. We have a large commercial kitchen with a full time chef. We also as extremely proud of our members bar as well as 2 other bars. We got a great size dance floor. Modern and well appointed furnishings to make you feel comfortable. The quality of all food and menu items are top notch. We got on Friday evenings a sit-down served dinner, that starts with a salad and soup bar. Then the entre. Fit a few cold ones in there, ( we also take pride in our import as well as domestic beer selections) and you got it made.. Elks is the #1 origination in Lewis County. Ask around and most guys I'll take you to best bar around and buy ya a drink. Pizza and wings are Thursday evening and must say you will not be disappointed."
